Pickens County man arrested on child porn charges

FAIRMOUNT - Local and state authorities have arrested a Pickens County man on four counts of sexual exploitation of children.<br /> <br /> The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and Pickens County Sheriff's Office arrested 36-year-old Thomas Rodriguez of 191 West Destiny Drive on Wednesday.<br /> <br /> According to the GBI, Rodriguez was arrested after authorities executed a search warrant of his residence and found evidence of child pornography on computers in the home.<br /> <br /> Authorities said the state investigation started after the GBI received several reports from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children regarding emails with suspected child pornography.<br /> <br /> The GBI case led investigators to the address in Pickens County where the arrest happened.<br /> <br /> Rodriguez was being held at the Pickens County Jail.
