MACON -- Local leaders in Macon say they have concerns about a law expanding the places where people can carry firearms in Georgia.

Mayor Robert Reichert said he is concerned that local officials can no longer restrict guns from some public buildings, possibly including publicly owned auditoriums.

Reichert said the new rules for carrying guns in public buildings were vague. He said people who use public buildings for concerts or ticketed events should be able to ban weapons if they want.

WMAZ-TV reports ( http://on.wmaz.com/UdQ0o5 ) that Republican state Rep. Bubber Epps said he would take the commission's concerns back to his colleagues at the Statehouse.
