NGTC's Rice wins Lisa White Spiering Legacy Scholarship

CLARKESVILLE - Tina Rice, a Cosmetology Diploma graduate from North Georgia Technical College's Blairsville campus, was recently awarded a Lisa White Spiering Legacy Scholarship from The International Dermal Institute. <br /> <br /> The scholarship is granted to the most "passionate, gifted" newcomers to the world of professional skin care. <br /> <br /> A panel at the International Dermal Institute headquarters in Los Angeles reviews all submissions and agrees on up to ten recipients per IDI calendar term (3 times a year). Each Legacy Scholarship has an estimated dollar value of $1,600 for 100 hours of education at The International Dermal Institute. Rice is believed to be the first winner of this scholarship in Georgia.<br /> <br /> Rice graduated from the NGTC Cosmetology program in May, 2014 as an honor graduate and member of the National Technical Honor Society. A resident of Epworth, she is currently employed as a skin therapist at Lisa Mitchell Hair Design in Blue Ridge.
