Fugitive apprehended, in custody in Gwinnett County

LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Sheriff's officials and the US Marshals SE Regional Fugitive Task Force have apprehended a fugitive that has been on the run since November of 2013.<br /> <br /> According to a post on the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, 23-year-old Alejandro Velasquez was wanted on outstanding warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery by disfiguring, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and participation in criminal gang activity.<br /> <br /> Authorities searched a home on Herndon Road in Lawrenceville today and found Velasquez hiding in the attic, according to the Facebook post. <br /> <br /> The post also says Velasquez was taken in to custody without incident. He is currently in the Gwinnett County jail, held without bond.<br />
