HOSCHTON - Three people have been arrested at a Hoschton home by Barrow County authorities following a month-long drug investigation.<br />

Lt. Matt Guthas with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office said in a press statement the Sheriff's Crime Task Force had been watching the house on Thomas Drive, following up on reports of illegal drugs being sold out of the home. A search warrant was executed Thursday, July 10.<br />

Guthas said officers found three ounces of methamphetamine, a half-ounce of marijuana, prescription medication and 11 rifles inside the house.<br />

The owner of the house, 52-year-old Rex Martin Bailey, was arrested. Two other occupants present at the time of the raid also were arrested; they were identified as Brandy Nicole Powell-Simonton, 26, of Winder and John Vernon Mulligan, 46, of Auburn.<br />

Bailey was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of schedule 4 controlled substance (Xanax) and possession a firearm by a convicted felon (11 counts). Simonton was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and Mulligan was charged with possession of methamphetamine. <br />
