Gainesville Braves travel baseball organization to hold tryouts at end of July

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Braves travel baseball organization is holding tryouts for their 11-under, 9-under, 8-under and 7-under teams in July.<br /> <br /> Tryouts will be held at Lanier Point, right next to Ivey-Watson Field, off Highway 53 in Gainesville on July 20 and 26-27.<br /> <br /> For the 7U coach-pitch team, tryouts with be July 20 from 2-4 p.m.. For the 8U coach-pitch team, tryouts will be held from 10 a.m.-noon July 26 and 4-6 p.m. July 27. The 9U kid-pitch team tryouts will be from noon-2 p.m. July 26 and 2-4 p.m. July 27. The 11U kid-pitch team tryouts will be held from 10 a.m.-noon July 26 and 4-6 p.m. July 27.<br /> <br /> Age for the teams is determined as of May 1 and the registration fee for trying out is $25 with checks made payable to the Gainesville Braves Baseball Club Inc.<br /> <br /> For more information, call Mark Wright at 770-540-5172. <br />
