Day care center burn case moves to Hall Co. Superior Court

GAINESVILLE - Three women charged in connection with the burning of a toddler at a Clermont child care center last month have had their cases bound over to Hall County Superior Court.<br /> <br /> A spokeswoman for Hall County Magistrate Court confirmed Friday that Sue Dupree, the owner of Discovering Basics on Cleveland Highway, her daughter Tara Miller, the site director at the facility and Eddye Pittmon an employee, all made appearances in court Friday morning. A judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to move the case forward.<br /> <br /> All three are implicated in an incident in which a 22-month-old boy received second and third degree burns on his left leg and stomach.<br /> <br /> Pittmon, who was taking care of Damon Gaddis on June 13, the day of the incident, is charged with child cruelty in the first degree. Miller has been charged with child cruelty in the second degree and Dupree faces a charge of tampering with evidence.<br /> <br /> The Hall County District Attorney's Office did not have a court date for the three as of Friday afternoon.<br /> <br /> <i>See links to previous stories for additional information.</i>
