GAINESVILLE - Three Gainesville men remain jailed following an armed robbery in the parking lot of the Target store on Shallowford Road last week, but police said Thursday they don't believe other shoppers should be concerned about the incident.

"This does appear to be an isolated incident. It does not appear to be a random crime," said Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook of the July 2 incident. "It appears these individuals possibly did know the [victim]."

Holbrook identified the suspects as Xavier Holland, 21, Zaccari Goudelock, 20, and Kenneth Loving, 17, all of Gainesville. He said all three remain in the Hall County Detention Center with no bond.

The hold-up occurred around 6 p.m. the night of July 2, and Holbrook said police were in the area, so they were able to respond quickly to a 911 call about the incident. He said once investigators got a vehicle description, they were able to track the suspects.

"Shortly after the incident, the three individuals were stopped in said vehicle on Azalea Drive," said Holbrook.

Holbrook said the cash taken in the hold-up - about $500 - was recovered. He said other items were confiscated as well, but he declined to elaborate, citing the ongoing investigation.

Holland, Goudelock and Loving have court hearings later this month.
