Motorcyclists hurt in 3-vehicle wreck

CORNELIA - Two motorcyclists were hurt just before noon Thursday when their bikes collided with a minivan near Cornelia.<br /> <br /> Trooper 1st Class Jesse Lewis said a 2008 Toyota Sienna driven by 47-year-old Joy Elrod of Cleveland was stopped at the stop sign on the offramp from Georgia 365 southbound onto Georgia 105 attempting to turn left.<br /> <br /> As she attempted to turn left, Elrod pulled into the path of two motorcycles that were traveling eastbound on Georgia 105 toward the new Walmart, Lewis said.<br /> <br /> A 2005 Harley-Davidson driven by 43-year-old Randy Farmer of Alto struck the van, throwing Farmer from the motorcycle, Lewis said.<br /> <br /> A 1993 Suzuki Intruder driven by 42-year-old William Watts of Clarkesville then struck the van, throwing Watts from the motorcycle and into the van's windshield, Lewis said.<br /> <br /> Farmer complained of abdomen and other pain and was taken by ambulance to Habersham Medical Center, Lewis said. Watts suffered road rash and a possible dislocated shoulder and also was transported for treatment.<br /> <br /> Neither Elrod nor a passenger in the van were hurt, Lewis said.
