GAINESVILLE - Five people have been taken for treatment of injuries following a three-vehicle wreck involving a tractor-trailer truck on Candler Highway (Ga. 60) near Bolman Road.
Cpl. C.E. Parker, assistant post commander of Georgia State Patrol Post 6 in Gainesville, said one person was experiencing breathing problems and another was having apparent heart problems.
Parker said a white Honda Odyssey driven by 60-year-old Kellie Ann Peppers of Winder traveled across the center line of Candler Highway near Bolman Road, sideswiping a 36-foot Sysco Foods tractor-trailer driven by 30-year-old Mason Charles Myers of Monroe.

Peppers' van then continued, striking a black Toyota Corolla driven by 40-year-old Sabrina Mills Nix of Gillsville.

Peppers and the front-seat passenger of the Toyota, identified as 73-year-old John Daniel Mills Sr. of Gillsville, were taken by ambulance for treatment of serious injuries, Parker said.

Myers, Nix and 63-year-old Margaret Wade Mills of Gillsville also were taken by ambulance for treatment.
A 7-year-old female passenger in Nix's car was not injured.
