Gold Creek Foods acquires Schreiber Distribution Center

DAWSONVILLE - Gold Creek Foods has announced its acquisition of a 124,000 square foot distribution and production facility in Gainesville to meet customer and vendor needs and advance its corporate growth business plan.<br /> <br /> The company acquired a 24-acre site at 2255 White Sulphur Road which formerly housedSchreiber Foods. The site is in an established industrial sector of Gainesville, has rail access,convenient to GA 365 for ground transport logistics and is strategically located near all Gold Creek's production facilities.<br /> <br /> Eric Tucker is Gold Creek Foods chief operating officer. <br /> <br /> "We'll phase in our plans, likely with less than ten employees at our start-up of the distribution center, and initially utilize the cooler capacity to serve existing customers. With 13-door docking capabilities, we'll enhance our receiving and shipping logistics immediately," said Tucker in a press statement.<br /> <br /> Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Dawsonville, Gold Creek Foods also has production facilities in the Candler community and on Memorial Park Road in Hall County.<br /> <br /> <br />
