GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville bicyclist apparently will be okay, but police are trying to find the driver of a pick-up truck that struck him on Athens Street Monday afternoon.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Joe Britte said the male bicyclist was riding his bicycle across the railroad tracks on Athens Street near Butler Parkway just after 12 p.m. when a silver Ford F150 truck hit him. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.

Britte said the truck is an extended cab model. The driver is described as an Hispanic female.

Anyone who has information on the truck driver is asked to call 911 or the Gainesville Police Department.
