GAINESVILLE - The Fair Street-Butler High School Alumni Association gathered recently to discuss and plan the group's 23rd reunion to take place next year.<br />

The reunions are held every other year, and benefits the Youth Scholarship Award. The event will be held again at Lake Lanier Islands and Resort.<br />
<br />
The next meeting will be held June 21, tentatively scheduled for the Beulah Rucker Historical Museum in Gainesville.<br />
<br />
Organizers say committees are rapidly forming and anyone interested in getting involved in planning the event is invited to attend.<br />
<br />
"This is a great opportunity for us to help preserve our history and come together for the common good," said Stephanie Watkins. "We look forward to a good turnout."<br />
