Gilmer Co. Alzheimer's patient missing

ELLIJAY - The Gilmer County Sheriff's Office continues to search for an Alzheimer's patient missing since Sunday night.<br /> <br /> Authorities said Earl Townsend, who goes by the nickname "Tater", was last seen on foot Sunday evening in the area of Ridgway Circle / Ridgeway Church Road / Lakeland Drive abut 12 miles out Hwy. 282.<br /> <br /> Townsend was wearing a blue shirt, black pants and black shoes at the time he disappeared, according to investigators. He is 68-years-old, 5'3" and weighs 175 lbs. <br /> <br /> Gilmer County authorities said they have used K9 units and a Georgia State Patrol helicopter in their search for the missing man.<br /> <br />
