CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (AP) Authorities say a fire aboard a charter bus carrying Boy Scouts closed two lanes of southbound Interstate 75 in Bartow County northwest of Atlanta, leading to lengthy delays.

Bartow County sheriff's Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said there were no major injuries in the Saturday fire -- only complaints of smoke inhalation.

Rogers tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1qMKJyF) that there was no accident involved. Rather, he said the fire took place on the bus as it was rolling down the interstate.

Rogers said he didn't know how the fire started or how many Boy Scouts were on the bus.

He said the two lanes were blocked near Mile Post 291, about 40 miles northwest of Atlanta.
