LCKC set to host Southern Invitational on Saturday at Clarks Bridge

GAINESVILLE -- The Southern Invitational canoe and kayak regatta will take place on Saturday at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue at Clarks Bridge Park in Gainesville. <br /> <br /> This event will feature high caliber athletes from the Lanier Canoe/Kayak Club as well as over 50 athletes competing from Oklahoma City. <br /> <br /> This Southern Invitational acts as a mid-season event where paddlers may test their skills against one another in preparation for the National Championships to be held on Lake Lanier in July. <br /> <br /> The event begins at 8 a.m. and runs to 5 p.m. The Southern Invitational is free to all spectators and is part Olympic Day, which is endorsed by the United States Olympic Committee.
