12th case of rabies confirmed in Hall County this year

HALL COUNTY - Hall County Animal Control has confirmed another positive case of rabies in the county, the twelfth so far this year.<br />
<br />
A rabid raccoon had contact with a cat in the area of Heather Stone Dr. in East Hall on Wednesday.<br />
<br />
The raccoon was shipped to the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur, where it tested positive for rabies.<br />
<br />
If you see animals acting abnormally, especially in the area of Heather Stone Dr., contact Hall County Animal Services.<br />
<br />
Animal owners are encouraged to keep their pets up-to-date on vaccinations.
