LaMance picks up $1,000 Late Model win at Hartwell Speedway

HARTWELL - For the second week in a row, Steve "Hot Rod" LaMance drove his King Motorsports No. 85 into victory lane at Hartwell Speedway in Hartwell, GA, taking home a win in SECA Late Model division.<br /> <br /> The victory not only carried a $1,000 payday but also gave LaMance bragging rights of becoming a Hartwell Speedway 2014 All Star Champion.<br /> <br /> LaMance qualified on the outside pole alongside David McCoy, who claimed a victory of his own by qualifying on the pole and picking up a $100 bonus for his efforts. When the green flag waved, LaMance surged to the front of the 14 car field and set sail to victory lane. David McCoy would try to close, but had to settle for second place. South Carolina's Larry Timms finished in third, leaving Bryce Alewine and Nick Dietz to fill out the top five.<br /> <br /> In other action, McCoy was able better his finishing position by one spot in the Limited Late Model feature, as he took home the win over Bubba Russell. Keith Freeman finished in third, with Brandon Haley in fourth and Jay Sessons in fifth.<br /> <br /> Nick Sellers topped the Hobby Stock field to score the victory. Mike Davidson finished in second, followed by Rod Roberts in third, Matt Duke in fourth and Brent Russell in fifth.<br /> <br /> Rusty Jordan scored the victory in the Modified Street feature, with Michael Segars in second. Clifton Snow finished in third, as Mark Wilbanks came home in fourth and Richard Jones in fifth<br /> <br /> George Fortson was first across the finish line to pick up the Stock V8 win. Hunter Leonard crossed over in second, with Cal Moon in third, Jeremy Jones in fourth and Dustin Evans in fifth.<br /> <br /> J.J. Garrett was the man to beat in the Stock Four Cylinder feature, as he scored the victory. Cy Strickland, Mason Tucker, Chris Wilson and Ryan Boles rounded out the top five.<br /> <br /> In the Young Guns feature, Adam Partain beat out Payton Freeman for the win. Jeremy Hicks finished third, with Brandon Galloway in fourth and Travis Hubbard in fifth.<br /> <br /> Robbie Cook was the winner in the Up Front feature.
