UNG official among finalists named for Georgia Highlands College President

ATLANTA - University System of Georgia officials have chosen three finalists for the open president position at Georgia Highlands College. <br /> <br /> Al Panu, senior vice president for university affairs at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega is one of the three.<br /> <br /> In a statement on Friday, officials said the president will be named at a future Board of Regents meeting. Georgia Highlands College serves about 5,700 students at six locations. <br /> <br /> The other finalists recommended by a selection committee are: <br /> <br /> Anita Bowles, vice president for academic affairs at Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. <br /> <br /> Donald Green, vice president for extended and international operations at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. <br /> <br /> Former Georgia Highlands College President Randy Pierce retired in December 2011. Two interim presidents have served since that time.
