Afternoon storms down some trees in Banks County

HOMER - Afternoon thunderstorms that rolled through Banks County Thursday afternoon downed some trees.<br /> <br /> According to Banks County emergency dispatchers, trees and overhead wire were down at Charity Road off of Highway 51 North.<br /> <br /> There were also reports of a tree and wires down on Historic Homer Highway near Bellamy Street.<br /> <br /> Dispatchers also reported downed trees and/or limbs on Highway 326 at the Jackson County Line and Highway 323 near Turner Drive.<br /> <br /> Banks County EMA and 911 Director Deidra Moore said her department had received no reports of injury or property damage as of 4PM.<br /> <br /> Trees and power lines are down on 326 at the Jackson County line, and the roadway is closed. DOT is en route to the scene.
