Substance abuse forum to meet in Demorest

DEMOREST - The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse and Mustard Seed Counseling Services of Clarksville will host a forum on Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) from 10:30-2:30, June 9, in the Stewart Hall Auditorium at Piedmont College. Attendance is free and lunch is provided.<br /> <br /> A Recovery Oriented System of Care is a framework for coordinating multiple self-directed services to meet an individual's pathway to recovery. The system builds upon the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities to assist addicts in taking responsibility for their sustained health and recovery from alcohol and drugs.<br /> <br /> The forum is designed for educators, court and law enforcement officials, clergy, and people of all ages involved in addiction recovery. Although attendance is free, please register by contacting the Georgia Council on Substance Abuse at 404-523-3440, email [email protected], or call Mustard Seed Counseling Services at 706-894-1371.<br /> <br /> The Georgia Council on Substance Abuse is a nonprofit advocacy organization with the mission to reduce the impact of substance abuse in Georgia communities. Mustard Seed Counseling Services provides state-certified counselors offering drug and alcohol intervention programs.
