GAINESVILLE - Another hoax bomb threat was found at Chestatee Academy this afternoon, according to a release from the Hall County School Board.

This is the second day in a row the middle school had a hoax bomb threat. The Hall County Sheriff's Office investigator who was working with the administration about yesterday's threat was notified of the situation and a search of the school was conducted.

No device or evidence of a bomb was found. The threat was deemed a hoax to disrupt the school. Having been given clearance by the Sheriff's Office, the Academy plans to continue all scheduled classes, after school activities and events.

The following message was delivered to parents and guardians through the direct messaging system:

"Today at the end of the school day at Chestatee Academy, a bomb threat was discovered on a bathroom wall. The school building and grounds have been swept by law enforcement. As was the case yesterday, this afternoon's investigation has proven this latest threat to be a hoax to disrupt normal school operations. Chestatee Academy plans to continue with all scheduled classes, activities, and events."

As was announced yesterday, the Hall County School District is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for making these bomb threats that led to disruption at the school. The Hall County Sheriff's Office investigator will continue to work with the school administration with the investigation of these incidents. Principal Dr. David Robles has announced the $1,000 reward to the student body and has encouraged anyone with information to come forward."
