CUMMING - The man who robbed a Forsyth County convenience store last week is behind bars, and authorities said Thursday that the suspect actually turned himself in.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater said authorities released a composite sketch of a suspect in the May 13 hold-up at the Chevron store on Matt Highway at Dahlonega Highway. As the sketch was circulated in the community, law enforcement received tips that linked the sketch to Arno C. Lamb III.

"We went to his home [to question him]", said Rainwater. "...he turned himself in once he realized we knew who he was."

Lamb is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to Rainwater.

"The aggravated assault is the result from the fact that he used a weapon in the commission of this robbery."

Rainwater said Lamb turned himself in on Tuesday. As of Thursday morning, he remained in the Forsyth County Detention Center.
