Charlotte Sosebee said she hopes voter traffic will pick up as the hours get closer to 7:00 p.m.
"There are some precincts, about ten o-clock this morning, who had voters that were probably a little over 100, but then there was some precincts that had way less than 100," Sosebee said.
Sosebee said a few voters have gone to the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center, which changed as a polling place in 2012. It's now at Hopewell Baptist Church.
Sosebee said there's a sign posted at the ag center now with information on the correct spot.
Forsyth County Elections Supervisor Mandi Smith said turnout was also low there.
"As of one o-clock, approximately 6751 (voters)."
She said the county has a little over 118,000 registered voters.
White County elections officials said turnout there was slower than expected.
White County Probate Court Judge Garrison Baker has been monitoring the primary in the county. He said turnout has been around 20 percent, and normally it's between 30 and 40 for a primary.
"One of the reasons we feel like is we didn't have any contested races at the local level. You had to get to one of the state house seats before we actually had a contested race in either party," Baker said.
He also said he's hopeful more people will vote during the evening rush.
