The new building isn't bringing any new jobs just yet, but it's bringing the sheriff's office closer to the people it serves.
"At some point we'll probably have to add personnel," said Couch. "But we aren't there just yet."
The new building also helps them get around more efficiently, since the north end of Hall County has trickier geography and less infrastructure, according to Couch.
Jim Walters owns a farm down the road from the precinct, and he's happy to have it nearby.
"The closer [they can] get to the population, the better off [they're] going to be to serve [it]," said Walters.
The new building is located on Dean Street.
