NWS: Banks County damage caused by EF1 tornado

HOMER - National Weather Service officials have determined storm damage in Banks County overnight Wednesday was caused by a tornado.

"I've been doing preliminary damage assessments today and have been out with the National Weather Service, who confirmed that it was an EF1 with at least a 200-yard-wide track that we were able to track for at least nine miles," said Banks County Emergency Management Agency Director Deidra Moore.
