GAINESVILLE - North Georgia Christian School senior Taylor Martin was honored Wednesday night at a reception hosted by Congressman Doug Collins (GA-09) for the winners of the 9th District Congressional Art Competition.

Taylor's piece, "Georgia Weather," was selected by Collins as the winner out of submissions from high school students from across the district.

Second place in the art competition went to Brandi Jarrard of North Hall High School, who submitted a piece entitled "Noah and Pop." Sayra Camacho of East Hall High School took third place with her work, "Last Tear."

"Georgia Weather" will hang in the U.S. Capitol for the next year as part of the exhibition of winning pieces from across the country.
