Baseball: Falcons ousted in Class AAAAA second round

DALLAS -- Flowery Branch's run in the Class AAAAA state baseball playoffs came to an end Thursday on the road.

The Falcons lost 6-0 to North Paulding in Game 3 of their second round. The two teams had split the first two games on Wednesday.

Flowery Branch (19-9) hit into a double play to end the first inning and then North Paulding answered with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

The Wolpack added two more runs in the third and one in the sixth.

The Flowery Branch offense could muster just four hits on the day. Cam Davis continued his stellar play in the playoffs with two more hits for the Falcons. Justin Seabolt and Dylan Gibeau also had hits for Flowery Branch.

North Paulding moved into the quarterfinals and will travel to Houston County next week.
