GAINESVILLE - Drug agents confiscated more than a pound of methamphetamine during an undercover buy in south Hall County Thursday.

Lt. Scott Ware with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said the operation was conducted on Golden Parkway. He identified the suspects as Jennifer Aviles-Sanchez, 26, of Norcross and Jose Macias-Sanchez, 47 of Duluth. Ware said he did not know if the two were related.

Ware said both MANS agents and uniformed patrol deputies with the Hall County Sheriff's Office conducted the operation.

The 19 ounces of methamphetamine was packaged in gallon-sized Ziploc bags, according to Ware.

The drugs held an estimated street value of $53,200.00.
