TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (AP) -- After pouring drinks near the beach for six decades, one of Tybee Island's oldest hangouts may have served its final last call.

The Savannah Morning News reports ( http://bit.ly/1mdFYzP ) bartenders at Doc's Bar planned to lock the doors for good after closing in the wee hours Wednesday morning.

Bartender Pam Smith says the bar is closing because owner didn't renew its lease. The newspaper said Doc's owner, Peggy Stone, couldn't be reached for comment and the property owner declined to discuss the matter.

Located near the bustling Tybee Island pier, Doc's had been in business for 66 years.
