GAINESVILLE - Hall County Deputy EMA Director Scott Cagle said that high winds associated with a storm system moving across the state have brought down a number of trees across the county.

Some of those trees are falling on power lines, according to Cagle, and that means power outages.

One affected area is Spring Road at McEver, said Cagle. He said a tree is down on a power line at Spring Road and Newton Street and the intersection will be closed while repairs are made.

Also, in the city of Gainesville, a tree is down across the road on Park Hill Drive between Riverside Drive and Enota Avenue. City of Gainesville crews are working to remove the tree, but officials said it could be noon before the area is cleared.
