DAWSONVILLE - Authorities confirmed Thursday afternoon that a Dawson County jailer was fired this week, after allegedly driving under the influence last month.

Dawson County Sheriff's Captain Tony Wooten confirmed that 25-year-old Robert Bo Tanner of Murrayville was terminated Monday.

Tanner was arrested on March 29 and had been on leave during an internal affairs investigation. He had worked since 2011 as a jailer in the county.
