According to Georgia State Trooper Jonathan Munger, the ambulance, owned by Georgia MedPort, had dropped off a patient at their home just before 3:15 p.m.
"As he (the ambulance driver) was leaving, his breaks failed and he traveled across the roadway and struck another house across the road," said Munger.
No injuries are reported, but the ambulance did cause some structural damage to the house. The Hall County Building Official was called to assess the damage.
"The MedPort ambulance did travel into the house and... had to be extracted with a wrecker," said Munger.
No citations were issued.
