Gainesville BOE schedules budget-related meetings

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Board of Education is scheduled to begin the public phase of developing a budget for the coming school year early next month.

The sessions begin May 2 with the first of two budget presentations. The second will be held May 19. There will also be a public hearing May 14 and then the board has scheduled tentative adoption of the spending plan June 2 with final adoption planned June 16.

All meetings begin at 6:00 and will be held at school board offices on Oak Street except the public hearing which will be held in the Gainesville High School Media Center and begin at 5:30.
