The Lady War Eagles (12-5) dominated the first half, striking for goals in the 32nd and 24th minutes.
Sadie Foote converted a penalty kick and Taylor Buffington finished off a shot by Foote. Merrie Barnett set up the second goal with a cross from the left side of the penalty area.
The Lady Lions (5-11-1) scored midway through the second period to narrow the gap and then turned up the pressure on Chestatee. But Lady War Eagles senior Misandy Chavez made several key saves over the final 10 minutes to help Chestatee hold on to the win.
Along with Chavez, Jessi Stephens, Allison Whidden, and Jacelin Sanchez were honored last night in their last regular home game season as seniors.
Chestatee travels to Athens Academy on Tuesday.
