BUFORD - Fifth Row Center in Buford is presenting the popular and iconic "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Buford Community Center.

Fiddler on the Roof is a musical set in Tsarist, Russia, in 1905. It is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Milkman and Other Tales) by Sholem Aleichem. The story centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and Jewish religious traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives. He must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three older daughters-each one's choice of husband moves further away from the customs of her faith-and with the edict of the Tsar that evicts the Jews from their village.

The first performance is Thursday, May 1 at 8:00. Shows are May 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 at 8:00; matinees are May 4 & 11 at 3:00.

Tickets range from $8 to $25 and may be reserved either by calling 770-945-6762, or booking online at bufordcommunitycenter.com
