Georgia DOT plans a traffic lane shift overnight Wednesday at the State Route 141/Bethelview Road/State Route 9 intersection improvement project, if weather permits.

WHAT:

Approximately ¼ mile of State Route 9 south from its intersection with SR 141 will shift.

WHEN:

If weather cooperates, these traffic changes will begin Wednesday night and be complete by 6 a.m. Thursday. Lane closures will be required and traffic will be delayed in the area as the traffic shift occurs.

WHY:

Shifting traffic allows traffic to continue to as sections of the new roadway are built.

This $5 million intersection reconstruction is expected to be finished by the end of the month.
