The Lady Trojans easily ran away with the title tallying 162.5 points to second place Buford's 133. White County was third with 132 points.
Trinidad Puente played a huge roll for North Hall winning the 100- and 300-hurdles races and anchoring the winning 4x100 relay team. She needed a late kick to win the 200 over Buford's Tyra Williams, who also finished second in the 100-meters.
"I was hoping to win both races but the competition is so tough," Puente said. "In the 200 I saw her staying with me and I just tried to pick it up some more. Really, it was a good day for the whole team."
Depth played a factor as the Lady Trojans had at least one top four finisher in every event but one, the 400-meters.
North Hall coach Drew Rogers said that is what they hope will lead to another top four finish in the state meet in two weeks in Albany.
"Everything we wanted to do today we did," Rogers said. "This will be the most we've ever had advance to the Sectionals. Depth is what you need and we've worked hard to develop that. Our goal is get on the podium [the top four teams] at state. We're very pleased with how today went."
West Hall's Maia Caldwell-Booker repeated as the 100-meter champ holding off Williams with a late burst in the final 25 meters. The North Carolina-signee is hoping a week to train and strengthen her ailing hamstring will give her a chance to advance to the state meet.
"My time (12.6 sec) was okay but not where it needs to be to win state," Booker sad. "I really was just trying to qualify (for Sectionals) but I hate to lose. But I feel better today than (Wednesday) and I should be able to knock my time down with some work."
White County's Kristen Mitchell, who has been battling asthma, posted the most exciting win of the day edging out Buford's Megan Ward by 4/100ths of a second to win the 800-meters. She used a tremendous kick over the final 200 meters to reign in Ward, who had a sizeable lead, and then nip her at the line.
"I just tried to stay close but she got a little ahead and I wasn't sure if I could catch her," Mitchell said. "I just gave it everything I had. I was fine with second but when I started getting closer I just went for it. It feels great but honestly I'm surprised I was able to run her down."
