GILLSVILLE - Charges in an early April wreck in east Hall County have been upgraded from failure to yield to second degree vehicular homicide.

"Based upon the crash investigation itself, vehicle number one was entering Harmony Church Road from the private parking lot of Mangum's Store," said Georgia State Trooper Jonathan Munger. "At that time, vehicle number one failed to yield and struck vehicle number two."

According to Munger, Juan Manuel Arrellano-Gonzalez was driving the first vehicle. On April 13th, the passenger of the second vehicle, 80 year old Chrisitne Davis, passed away from the injuries she sustained in the accident.

According to Munger, this week, warrants were obtained for vehicular homicide in the second degree. Arrellano-Gonzalez was not impaired at the time of the accident.
