GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls rallied from a halftime deficit to knock off rival North Hall 3-2 Tuesday in soccer action.

North Hall (4-8-1) took the early lead when Katie Estrada headed in a corner kick from Danielle Berry. The score stayed that way until the second half.

The Lady War Eagles got going quickly in the second half. Sadie Foote scored eight minutes in finishing off a combination of passes from Hope Baxter and Taylor Buffington.

Buffington earned her second assist later finding Merrie Barnett open in the left wing and Barnett was able to give Chestatee a 2-1 lead.

Ten minutes later North Hall tied the game at 2 when Estrada beat Chestatee keeper Misandy Chavez on a loose ball outside the penalty area.

The War Eagles, however, answered two minutes later as Barnett took a throw-in from Anna Abercrombie, headed it down, and hammered a shot from 18-yards out for the game-winner.

Chestatee improved to 10-5-0 with the win and next travels to Rabun Gap on Thursday.
