According to Sgt. Brian Doan with the Gwinnett County Police Department, authorities were called to the 2800-block of Jordan Woods Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville following reports of a decease female that had been found at the scene.
The victim's father had apparently traveled to the residence after his daughter, later identified as 32-year-old Patricia Murray, failed to contact him. Upon arrival, he discovered his deceased daughter's body and immediately placed a call to 911.
Doan said Gwinnett Police responded to the call quickly, and were in the process of carrying out a thorough search of the residence when they came across the body of a deceased male in a separate part of the home. The male, 34-year-old Raul Covarrubias, is believed to have killed Murray before taking his own life.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing at this time, and no other details have been released.
