DEMOREST - A two-vehicle wreck on Georgia Highway 115 just east of Georgia Highway 105 (Cannon Bridge Road) at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday sent one person to the hospital.

Trooper 1st Class Casey Coffee of Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa provided details of the wreck.

The collision involved a 2006 Ford pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Dustin Sosebee of Mt. Airy and a 2004 Kia Sorrento driven by 31-year-old Stephanie Bennett of Demorest, Coffee said.

Sosebee's truck was traveling west on Georgia 115, while Bennett's vehicle was traveling east, he said.

"The driver of vehicle 1 [Sosebee] crossed the centerline, striking vehicle 2 head-on," Coffee said.

After impact, Bennett's SUV overturned onto the driver's side on the south side of Georgia 115. Sosebee's truck continued westbound for several hundred feet before coming to rest in a ditch.

Bennett suffered unspecified injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Coffee said.

Sosebee complained of minor injuries, but was not taken from the scene for medical treatment, Coffee said.

Sosebee was charged by GSP with driving on the wrong side of the road.
