GAINESVILLE - Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forests staff are anxiously awaiting a busy season as most of the recreation sites have reopened for the spring.

Many sites were improved by volunteers while closed. Mobile users will be excited for this improvement - a new app allows smart phone users to find sites for camping, picnics, hiking, swimming and other activities in the national forests.

The app also sends out forest news and alerts to help keep visitors informed of chaning conditions. The link to download is below.
