Study ranks Gainesville, several other NE Ga. cities 'best' in state for car insurance rates

Gainesville and several other cities and towns in northeast Georgia are ranked among the 30 best in Georgia when it comes to car insurance rates.

Gainesville comes in at number 16. Also on the list are: Athens (2), Cumming (8), Dawsonville (10), Jefferson (13) and Winder (21).

The study, conducted by valuepenguin.com, was based on the sample profile of a single 30-year-old male driving a 2010 Toyota Camry across 30 cities.
