GAINESVILLE -- For five innings, Banks County kept North Hall in check -- but the sixth proved a perfect tonic for the Trojans, who blew the game open en route to a 8-2 win over the Leopards in Gainesville.

Banks County held a 1-0 advantage through five innings, but the Trojans' offense, which had just two hits to that point, took control over the final two frames, paced by a two-run home run from Corbin Lewallen.

Andrew Smith also finished 2 for 3 with an RBI, whir Micah Strickland had a hit and two RBI. Stephen Murray, Lincoln Hewett, Josh Hammond and Taber Mongero also put up one hit and one RBI apiece.

Brandon Delong earned the win on the mound for North Hall (11-6, 9-3 Region 7-AAA), pitching 6 innings and striking out six while allowing four hits and two runs. Smith also pitched 1 inning in relief, allowing two hits and striking out one.

The Trojans, which moved into second place in Region 7-AAA courtesy their win and White County's loss to Buford on Friday, will play host to East Hall on Monday.
