Gwinnett Police arrest three burglary suspects

LAWRENCEVILLE - Three man have been taken into custody following an investigation by the Gwinnett County Police Department into several burglaries, entering autos, and thefts that have taken place around the Hamilton Mill area of Buford and Dacula.

On Wednesday just before noon authorities responded to Jim Moore Road at Mill Water Crossing regarding reports of two suspicious men.

Upon arrival officers met with a witness that stated that she observed two black males standing next some bushes. Stashed in those bushes was a set of golf clubs and some electronic equipment and other property.

Upon further investigation officers learned that a nearby home on Coopers Mill Court had been burglarized.

The owner of the home described to investigators the items taken in that burglary. Their description matched the description of the property found at Jim Moore Road and Mill Water Crossing.

Officers made contact with three men that matched the descriptions provided by witnesses. As Officers questioned the men, they developed probable cause to detain them for additional questioning.

The men were transported to Gwinnett County Police Department for further questioning and are facing Burglary charges.

In custody are Jacorey Lewis, 20, of Dacula, Jayson Gonsalves, 19, of Buford and Darius Rouse, 20, of Buford.

Further charges are being examined as investigators look at possible ties to other area burglaries.
