Woman's body discovered in woods near Lilburn; police rule death as homicide

LILBURN - The identity of a woman found dead in Lilburn this morning has been released, and her death is now ruled as a homicide.

The woman was identified as 26-year-old Angela Rabotte of Lawrenceville, according to a release from the Gwinnett County Police Department.

A surveyor working in a wooded area off Lilburn Indisutrial Boulevard Thursday morning discovered her body, according to police.

Rabotte was last seen alive around 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, in the Steeplechase Apartments parking lot in unincorporated Norcross.

The Lilburn Police Department is working with local jurisdictions as the investigation proceeds.
