Gwinnett County man suspected in over 30 burglaries

CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities Tuesday announced the arrest of a Gwinnett County man, the suspect in over 30 burglaries across five jurisdictions.

Erick Dominguez-Ramirez, 35, was arrested Friday following an investigation involving the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, and the police departments of Gwinnett County, Suwanee, Duluth and Johns Creek, according to Forsyth County sheriff Duane Piper.

In Forsyth County, authorities said Dominguez-Ramirez is being charged with ten counts each of burglary in the second degree, theft by taking, criminal damage, and possession of burglary tools.

He faces charges related to six burglaries in Gwinnett County, ten in Suwanee, two in Duluth and five in Johns Creek, according to Corporal Kris Hall, the lead Forsyth County investigator.

"We believe he has been involved in as many as 43 burglaries within the Forsyth, Gwinnett, Johns Creek, Duluth and Suwanee jurisdictions," Hall said in an e-mail statement.

According to Forsyth County authorities, Dominguez-Ramirez confessed to numerous burglaries. He's being held in the Gwinnett County jail.
