Lane changes coming to GDOT project in Cumming

CUMMING - Georgia DOT announces a traffic shift is scheduled Thursday night, March 27 on the Bethelview Road widening project, if weather permits.<br /> <br /> WHAT: Approximately 1 mile of Bethelview Road will shift onto newly constructed roadway from the Dollar General Store north of SR 9 to the north of Castleberry Road.<br /> <br /> WHEN: If weather cooperates, these traffic changes will begin Thursday night and be complete by 6 a.m. Friday, 28th. The shift will progress in sections overnight. Lane closures will be required and traffic will be delayed in the area as the traffic shift occurs.<br /> <br /> WHY: Shifting traffic from its original location allows traffic to continue to flow in the newly built section of roadway while work occurs in the original lanes.
