The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Wednesday the 2014 NABC Coaches' Division II All-District teams and coaches, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, with UNG's Ishmael Hollis honored as a first team All-District selection.

Hollis, a Flowery Branch High graduate, was the Peach Belt Conference's second leading scorer (19.8 points per game) and fourth leading rebounder (9.1 rebounds per game) and capped a stellar career at UNG by being voted to the Peach Belt Conference's first team All-Conference team. The senior forward tallied 10 double-doubles on the season and was named the PBC Player of the Week on January 27.

Last week, Hollis landed a spot on the Daktronics All-Region team as a second team selection.

The Peach Belt Conference was well-represented on the Southeast Region ballot as Montevallo's Troran Brown, Francis Marion's Evrik Gary, and USC Aiken's Ronald Zimmerman joined Hollis on the first team while Georgia Regents' K.J. Sherrill and USCA's DeVontae Wright were named second team selections. USC Aiken head coach Vince Alexander was named the region Coach of the Year. PBC players took four of the six spots on the first team and six of the 11 All-Region spots.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division II, these 88 student-athletes and eight coaches represent the finest basketball players and coaches across America.

Located in Kansas City, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
